- Village Green has two teams in the 1st Tee Sarasota/ Manatee League participating in both Spring and Fall Seasons.
- Spring Registration opens in February with practices and matches March-May.
- Fall Registration opens in August with practices and matches September-November.

Meet the Coaches – Sean & Erin Martin
The Village Green Golf Club PGA Jr. League team is proud to be part of the First Tee of Sarasota/Manatee. Our coaches, Sean and Erin Martin, are both PGA Professionals with more than 35 years of combined teaching and coaching experience.
Before taking ownership of Village Green, Sean and Erin built and led several highly successful junior golf programs at Capital City Club, Atlanta Athletic Club, and with U.S. Kids Golf. Their passion for junior development is at the heart of everything they do. They understand the importance of making golf fun and approachable, while also reinforcing solid technique and instilling lifelong skills that players can carry with them both on and off the course.
About PGA Jr. League at Village Green
PGA Jr. League is a fun, social, and inclusive team golf experience for boys and girls ages 7–13 (players must be 13 or younger as of July 31, 2025). Designed for juniors of all skill levels, the league introduces the game in a way that feels more like a team sport than traditional golf.
- Team Format: Using a popular scramble format, players enjoy a supportive environment where teammates work together, learn strategy, and build confidence.
- Team Jerseys: Just like in other youth sports, each player receives home and away numbered jerseys to wear with pride.
- Welcoming Atmosphere: Whether new to the game or already competitive, every player has the opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun.
Practices at Village Green
To maximize learning and engagement, Village Green’s practices are split into two parts:
- Clinic-Style Instruction: Focused coaching, drills, and skill development.
- On-Course Team Play: Practicing league format play to build confidence, teamwork, and game experience.
This balance ensures that each junior receives personal attention, learns the fundamentals, and gets valuable time on the course with their team.
Cost – $275 Per Player*
Cost Breakdown:
- $165 (Coach Fee + 1st Tee League Fee) – Paid at Village Green Golf Club
- $110 Annual Membership* – Paid online to PGA America (includes team jerseys, hat or visor and additional team gear)
*Annual Fee covers Spring and Fall seasons and is not included in the cost for the Fall season.
What’s Included
- Weekly practices and Saturday afternoon “Games” in the 1st Tee of Sarasota/ Manasota PGA Jr. League.
- Team jerseys, hat or visor, one practice each week, nine games, league championship, season-end party, league medals for First, Second, and Third places.
- Players will be Village Green “members” for the duration of the season with full access to the course and practice area ($175 value). Parents playing with team members will have discounted golfing fees available.
- Practices will be held on Sunday’s at 1:00 – 2:30 or Wednesday evenings (clinic-style instruction/playing league format).

*Village Green Golf Club “Home” matches are scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
**Golf Car rental for the matches is additional and will be collected by the individual courses the day of the match. Rentals fees and availability vary at each course.
**NEW*** Fall Practice Series Option
We are offering a Fall Practice Series for players, designed to help them continue developing skills, staying engaged, and preparing for future Jr. League play.
Spring Guarantee: Each Fall Practice Series player will receive guaranteed entry into the Spring 2026 PGA Jr. League season
Fee: $130 for the fall season
Schedule: Practices follow the same options as the league team:
Wednesdays, 5:00–6:00 PM
Sundays, 1:30–2:30 PM
Players may attend any or all practice times each week
Format: Each practice includes clinic-style instruction, drills, and on-course play
Membership Fee Waiver: Waitlist players will not be asked to pay the $110 PGA membership fee for fall participation.
